Description

Keep your blonde pure, free of yellow tones, with the L’Oréal Elvive Color-Vive purple shampoo. This yellow-correcting purple shampoo is designed for blonde, bleached, highlighted or white hair. It neutralises yellow and orange tones from the very first use.

Its formula is enriched with purple pigments, the colour opposite yellow. Use it once a week, alternating with your usual shampoo. Leave on for 1 minute on white hair, 2 to 3 minutes on blonde hair and 5 minutes on highlighted brown hair, then rinse. The L’Oréal purple shampoo cleans gently and gives lovely cool tones.

Each bottle holds 200 ml. It is made of recycled plastic and is recyclable, in a French carbon-neutral factory. The L’Oréal purple shampoo is used roughly every third wash. A conditioner or a mask afterwards keeps the lengths soft.

Our verdict on this L’Oréal purple shampoo

Review written by the Aura Capillaire team · Updated on 19 September 2026

We read buyers’ feedback on this L’Oréal purple shampoo to pick out what comes up most often, good and not so good.

The strong points

  • Yellow tones neutralised: from the first use.
  • A leave-on time suited to each blonde, from 1 minute on white hair to 5 minutes on highlighted brown hair.
  • A lovely cool tone, also appreciated on salt-and-pepper hair.
  • A recyclable bottle: made in France in a carbon-neutral factory.

Good to know

  • A leave-on time to respect: left on too long, it can leave a silvery or purple tint. Start with the shortest time and rinse well.
  • A shampoo that can leave hair dry: the lengths may feel dry after washing. Follow with a conditioner or a mask. Also check the number of bottles in the offer.

Where we land: for blonde, highlighted or white hair that turns yellow, this is a simple, affordable toner to slip into your routine. For a treatment that tones while nourishing, the Elvive purple mask below complements the shampoo. For more ideas, browse our hair care.
